The Delhi government has made e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders. Those who complete the process can avail benefits like ₹2500 under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. However, many people are facing a big problem—OTP for e-KYC is sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and some have either forgotten or lost that number.

If you are also struggling with this issue, don’t worry! There’s a simple way to find your Aadhaar-linked number and update it if needed. Follow this step-by-step guide to update your mobile number and complete the ration card e-KYC process.

Find Out Which Mobile Number is Linked to Aadhaar

If you have multiple mobile numbers and don’t remember which one is linked to Aadhaar, you can easily check it online.

Steps to Check Aadhaar-Linked Mobile Number

1️⃣ Visit the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/
2️⃣ Click on “My Aadhaar” on the homepage.
3️⃣ Select “Verify Email/Mobile Number” under the Aadhaar Services section.
4️⃣ Enter your Aadhaar number and the mobile number you want to check.
5️⃣ Enter the captcha code and click Submit.
6️⃣ If the mobile number is linked, you will see a green box confirmation message.
7️⃣ If it is not linked, a red box message will appear.

If your Aadhaar-linked number is active, you can proceed with ration card e-KYC without any issues. But if it is lost or inactive, you will need to update it first.

How to Update Aadhaar Mobile Number

If your registered mobile number is lost, you must update it at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. The entire process is simple and takes only a few steps.

Steps to Update Mobile Number in Aadhaar

1️⃣ Visit UIDAI Website: Go to https://uidai.gov.in/
2️⃣ Book an Appointment: Click on “My Aadhaar” → “Book an Appointment”
3️⃣ Select Your City & Aadhaar Seva Kendra
4️⃣ Enter New Mobile Number & Generate OTP
5️⃣ Fill in Aadhaar Details: Enter your Aadhaar number, name, and date of birth.
6️⃣ Select “New Mobile Number” Option
7️⃣ Pay ₹50 Update Fee Online
    8️⃣ Print the Appointment Receipt
9️⃣ Visit Aadhaar Seva Kendra on the Given Date

🔹 The mobile number update process takes 3-5 working days.
🔹 After updating, you can use your new number for e-KYC and other Aadhaar-related services.

How to Complete Ration Card e-KYC After Mobile Update

Once your mobile number is updated, you can proceed with ration card e-KYC using your smartphone.

Steps to Do Ration Card e-KYC Online

    📱 Download These Two Apps:
    ✅ My KYC
    ✅ Aadhaar FaceRD

📌 Step 1: Open the My KYC app and log in with your Aadhaar number.
📌 Step 2: Verify your identity using the Aadhaar FaceRD app.
📌 Step 3: Enter your ration card details.
📌 Step 4: Authenticate using OTP on your updated mobile number.
📌 Step 5: Complete the verification, and your e-KYC will be done instantly.

This process ensures that only genuine ration card holders receive government benefits.

Why Is Ration Card e-KYC Important?

✔ Get ₹2500 under Mahila Samriddhi Yojana
✔ Prevents fraudulent ration card claims
✔ Ensures that government benefits reach the right people
✔ Makes the ration distribution system more transparent

In Delhi, there are over 17 lakh ration card holders, and many have not updated their details since 2013. The government is now verifying these records to ensure that only eligible people receive ration benefits.

If you have not completed your ration card e-KYC yet, update your Aadhaar mobile number first and complete the process before the deadline.
